A Spam Welcome!
I’ve just got back from a weekend away to find that even though I’ve been taking a break the spamers haven’t!
You think they would have got the message by now. No matter how many they post I will just delete them. It seems such a waste of my time and theirs!
If you have sent me an email over the weekend please be patient. I’ll try and get to you as soon as I can. I have got about 300 emails to sort through, many of which will also be spam. Hopefully everything should get back to normal by tomorrow.

Have you installed Akismet? It really helps with SPAM.

Yes I have Aksimet and usually it performs quite well, but this weekend it has let about 30 spams through.
Not that I am complaining - it has stoped 5000 or so spams since I started using it with only a few false positives.

Aksimet did have some server downtime the past week or so which could have been why the SPAM got through.
I agree, Aksimet does a really good job. They recently released a new version, so make sure you have the latest installed as that might also be why a few got through.
