Plugins, Visitors and Themes - A bit of this and that.
I have often though that nobody is going to keep scrolling down a long page full of archives and have kept my eye open for a neater solution for an archives page. Now I think I have found one with the Clean Archives Reloaded plugin. This plugin make a collapsible list of months with the latest month expanded. Clicking on another month collapses the currently selected month and expands the new selection. So far it seems good, although it seems to load a bit slow to start. If you want to see it in action check out my Archives.
Today is a record day on Webgazette.co.uk with my visitors hitting over 1000 in a day for the first time. This month also looks like it may be the first time I have over 20,000 visitors. I hope my hosting doesn’t start to slow down unless I shall be looking for a new host.
I have really got carried away with the theme I am working on at the moment. In case you don’t know, it is the one you can see here running on Webgazette.co.uk. I started tidying it up ready to release and asked if anyone could think of a name for it in my previous post. Aaron suggested that I might like to call it “Green Changeling” which for some reason got me thinking about chameleons and the way they can change colour. Now Chameleon seems a good name and of course before long I was making a theme options page for changing the colour. So far I have the original green, blue, read and orange. It may take a little longer to get out but I think it will be worth waiting for.

Thanks for the heads up on the plugin. I’ll be installing it for sure since I have a huge archive section.

Sorry Andros, I could not. I ripped the old version apart to make this one and never kept a copy.
Still shouldn’t be long before a release, all being well.
