Template News

I’ve been busy with one thing or another and haven’t had time to make a proper post about the templates that I have recently released, so here goes:

The first template called KISS, which stands for “keep it simple stupid”, was released earlier in the week over at The Open Design Community.

The KISS Template
KISS is a simple two column design that was intended to be easy to customise and is built from valid XHTML 1.1 and CSS. The template features a tabbed horizontal navigation menu and sidebar on the right. The design is fairly crude and leaves plenty of scope for changing the colours and inserting your own graphics.

The second template, which I have only just released, is called “Ebony and Ivory” and isn’t available yet but should be soon from The Open Design Community website.

The Ebony and Ivery Template

The design was inspired by the piano keyboard, so is mostly black and white and again this is a two column design but this time with the sidebar on the left. The design of the main navigation menu mimics the look of the piano keys with parent pages being white and the child pages black.

Both designs have a blog feel to them and would make good blog themes but I have no plans at the moment to port them to WordPress. If anybody wants to port them to blog themes they are welcome to do so.
