Andreas09 Theme for Thingamablog

This theme is another port of one of Andreas Viklund’s open source templates called andreas09. Bubblegum4TAMB is a full width, 3 column theme with a fluid center column. The theme comes in 6 colours that can easily be changed.

This theme is setup to output the categories as keywords in the head. If you don’t want this then look for meta name=”keywords” tag on line 11 of the templates and either remove it or modify it as required.

Installation instructions

  1. Unzip the bubblegum4tamb.zip file into a convenient location.
  2. Locate your Thingamablog database files folder (it will have a numerical folder name i.e. “1118777427031″) and copy all the database files to a safe place as a backup so you can return to your original templates in case of problems.
  3. Open the “templates” folder and overwrite the template files with those from the Bubblegum4TAMB archive.
  4. Next open the “web” folder and copy the “images” folder to it and overwrite the “styles-site.css” file with the one in the archive.
  5. Edit any parts of the templates that you want to, such as the right side bar and contact email address in the horizontal menu for instance.
  6. Finally republish your entire blog. (Make sure that you choose to republish your entire blog.)

If everything went well you should now have the Bubblegum4TAMB theme installed.

Changing Colours

The default colour is blue. To change to another colour, either copy and overwrite the bodybg.jpg and menuhover.jpg from the included colours in the archive to the database images folder or import the two graphics to the images folder with the import files function within Thingamablog.
