Traveling on a Plane

Whether you’re headed on a quick weekend getaway to another state or a long vacation abroad. Air travel has strict rules about bringing vapes. Many vapers wonder, can you bring a vape on a plane? Most airlines permit passengers to bring vapes on board in carry-on luggage. But it’s smart to check with the airline you’ll be traveling with to make sure. Even if it does permit you to bring a vape, the airline may restrict the number of batteries you can bring.

Most vape juices bottles fall under the TSA limit of 100 mL. So place these in a clear zip-top plastic bag and pull them out of your carry-on for screening. If you have larger bottles you want to bring, you’ll need to place them your checked luggage. However, you cannot place your vape battery in your checked luggage as doing so is banned across the globe.

Using Your Vape on a Plane

Vaping is not allowed on any airline. Whether the plane is on the ground or in the air. You also cannot use the in-flight power outlets to charge your unit. Wait to vape until you get off the plane to avoid a potential fine. In fact, some vapers have reportedly been arrested. Moreover, put in jail for using their devices on flights operated by Qatar Airways, so it’s not worth the risk.

Vaping Laws Abroad

Several countries and cities have completely banned the use of vapes and e-cigarettes. Hong Kong is one example, which has classified nicotine-based vape juice as a poison. Using a vape there could result in a fine of up to $12,900. Singapore levies a much smaller fine of $200 on people using vapes. Although some users have reported that authorities are more relaxed about visitors vaping. Additional places that have banned the use of e-cigarettes include the Gambia, Nigeria (in public places), Seychelles, Uganda, Costa Rica (in public places), Trinidad, Guyana, Cambodia, Thailand, and some areas of Australia.

Tips for Traveling With a Vape

Before you head on vacation with your vape, it’s smart to clean all the components and pack the unit in an unassuming case. Something made of leather that won’t smell strongly of vape juice is best. As it won’t draw a lot of attention. Vape tips include using alcohol to fully clean the parts of your vape and allow it to dry completely before you take it anywhere. You should also steer clear of vaping anywhere indoors, including in airports, restaurants, and other public places. Many cities treat vaping like smoking. Which allow indoors just about anywhere you go.

Understanding the laws around vaping can prevent you from facing a stiff fine or unpleasant experience as you’re traveling. By planning ahead and knowing what you can and can’t do in certain areas, you can continue to enjoy vaping without concern.
